Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Stenz handles, why it is used, and what rights artists and clients have.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Stenz handles personal data when you visit the website, use the app, publish an intake form, submit a client request, or communicate with us.
Stenz is operated from France. For privacy questions or data requests, contact hello@stenz.app.
2. Data we collect
The data Stenz processes depends on how you use the service. Artists may provide account details, studio information, form settings, email templates, availability, booking preferences, and subscription status.
Clients may submit information through an artist's intake form, such as name, email, project description, tattoo placement, size, budget, preferred dates, reference images, consent fields, and messages.
- Account and contact data, such as name, email address, preferred language, and studio profile details.
- Client intake and booking data, such as request content, reference images, status history, proposed slots, and email metadata.
- Technical data, such as device type, browser, IP address, logs, security events, and diagnostics needed to keep Stenz reliable.
- Billing-related data from Apple, such as product, subscription status, renewal state, and transaction identifiers. Stenz does not receive your full card details from Apple.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to provide the service, route client requests to artists, manage booking workflows, send transactional emails, maintain subscriptions, secure accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve Stenz.
We may also use contact information to send important service notices, security alerts, support replies, and product updates where allowed by law.
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more legal bases: performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and, where required, explicit consent for sensitive information.
Artists are responsible for choosing an appropriate lawful basis for the client data they request through their own forms and studio workflow.
5. Artist and client roles
For client intake data submitted to an artist, the artist usually decides why the data is collected and how it is used. In that context, Stenz acts as a service provider or processor for the artist.
For Stenz account, billing, security, support, website, and product analytics data, Stenz decides how the data is processed and acts as the controller where applicable.
6. Service providers
We use trusted providers to host the service, deliver email, process subscriptions, maintain infrastructure, analyze reliability, and provide support. These providers may process data only as needed to perform services for Stenz.
Apple processes App Store subscriptions under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. If Stenz uses additional providers for a specific feature, we will only share the minimum data needed for that feature to work.
7. Cookies and local storage
The Stenz website and app may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for essential functions such as language preference, session state, security, and performance.
If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are added, Stenz will provide any consent controls required by law.
8. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide Stenz, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
Artists can delete or export information where the product makes those controls available. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before deletion.
9. International transfers
Stenz may process data in countries other than your country of residence through infrastructure and service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, transport encryption, operational monitoring, and signed access patterns where appropriate.
No online service is perfectly secure. If you believe data has been exposed or your account has been compromised, contact hello@stenz.app promptly.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact hello@stenz.app. If your request concerns data submitted to a specific artist, we may direct the request to that artist or assist them in responding.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as Stenz evolves or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
Material changes will be communicated through reasonable channels, such as the website, app, or email.
